excerpt from work

As we are reinstalling a program after reformating my supervisors system…

<sup> it says “dongle driver not installed”
<me> is the dongle on?
<sup> (checks the dongle switch) yep
<me> try it again
<sup> (tries it again) it says “dongle driver not installed”
<me> try it with the dongle connected to the back of the computer…
<sup> (puts it on the back of the computer and tries it again) it says “dongle driver not installed”
<me> well hell, I don’t know what to do
<sup> maybe I should try this disc that says “Dongle Driver”
<me> (laughing) jesus christ, we’re so inept
<sup> what does that mean?
<me> (laughing harder) you’re kidding, right?
<sup> no, I’m serious
<me> (continues laughing until my eyes are watering)

About a half hour later we realize he was installing the wrong version of the software anyways, then proceede to spend a good ten minutes wondering why the right disc was coming up blank on both our systems, only to rediscover it was a damn DVD… Friday is not going well.
